My child's teacher brought baby chicks to the classroom for the children to help raise. It's an amazing exercise and my son has become very attached to one chick in particular, which is adorable. We're considering building a chicken coop in our back yard in addition to our garden, a lot of work, but the development process for children is invaluable and of course fresh eggs are unlike anything else!
