Kind Planet
Tuesday, April 27, 2010 I would have loved to play with Google Earth should it have been available when I was a kid. The latest feature in Google Maps, Earth view, allows you to see maps in 3D. Simply click the Earth button to explore 3D imagery and terrain from around the world in your browser. Get amped for the next geography assignment! Learn more at http://maps.google.com/earthview
Also, some friends of ours did a nice survey asking families ways in which they are kind to our precious planet. We got some of the answers over the weekend, just in time for Earth Day. There are some great ideas. Feel free to chime in with how you and your tribe make contributions to our environment.
"We use reusable lunch packing and aluminum water bottles instead of plastic. And we unplug our chargers and electric appliances when we leave home" - Ilise
"We use non-toxic cleaning products and we dry all of our laundry in the sun!" - Aaron & Chris
"When we moved we posted all of our packing materials on Craigslist for free to be reused" - Amanda
"Our family has our own organic garden and we pack waste-free lunched. Jersey is up for any DIY projects using recyclable and Ace, well, he eats his own boogers!"- Karen & James
"Our family drives a 1983 Mercedes that runs on recycled fry oil from local restaurants" - John & Molly
"We made our organic garden bigger!" - James & Clare
